As an American and a fan of English soccer both the Premiership and FA I feel compelled to ask the burning question... "How has the English Soccer Coaching capabilities fallen so far off course? I respect Fabio Capello as I do Sven Goran Ericson based on their career achievements... Yet, they are from another place and time. England has gotten away from the cutting edge of the game. Amazing how complacency can set in and while the money flows the game can pass you by... In all actuality if the Premiership was not dependent on international stars just how competitive would it be? Surely, the popularity wouldn't be the same? The quality as exciting, the level of play nearly as interesting... and so it goes. God save the Queen and the purity of English Soccer, I for one want to see some definite plan to restore the glory that still is attainable. Just my opinion. Also, Steve McLaren was a buffoon.
